Free One-Time Secret

Encrypted in your browser. The link works once, then the secret is gone.

How it stays private

Your text is encrypted in this browser before it is sent. The key is the part of the link after “#”, which browsers never send to my server, so I only ever hold scrambled data, and I delete it the moment it is opened once.

How to make a one-time secret

  1. Paste the password or note and choose how long the link should last if nobody opens it.
  2. Click Create link and send it to one person.
  3. When they open it and click Reveal, it is shown once and deleted.

Frequently asked questions

Can you read my secret?
No. It is encrypted in your browser and the key stays in the part of the link after #, which browsers never send to my server.
What if a chat app previews the link?
Previews do not use it up. The secret is only fetched when the recipient clicks Reveal.
How long is my data kept?
Until it is viewed once, or 1 hour, 1 day or 7 days if nobody opens it, whichever comes first.
