How to make a quote or estimate

  1. Enter your details under From and your customer’s under Prepared for.
  2. Add each item or service with its quantity and price. Add a discount or tax if needed; the estimated total updates as you type.
  3. Set a Valid until date, describe scope and terms in the notes, then click Download PDF / Print and choose “Save as PDF”.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between a quote and an estimate?
A quote is usually a fixed price for a clearly defined job; an estimate is a best guess that can change. Click the heading to rename the document “Estimate”.
How long should a quote be valid?
Thirty days is common, but set whatever suits your prices and materials in the Valid until field.
Can I turn an accepted quote into an invoice?
Yes. Open the Invoice Generator and enter the same line items; both documents use the same layout.
Where is my data stored?
